Lock-Out
Yesterday the complete opposite of that happened to me.
I came in to my office as usual, when I went over to unlock the door, nothing. The key went in but wouldn't turn. I tried all of my other keys (thinking I might be confused or something) but still nothing.
Needless to say, since I couldn't get to my computer, I had to make things up to do at work for the better part of the day until Hno. Vega climbed in through the window to open it from the inside. I felt so bad. I got in at approximately 1:30PM.
Because the Word says that "all things work for the good of those who love him, according to their purpose", I want my experience to help others like me. So I give you this...
Things to do if you ever get locked out of your office:
#1 Clean up your "other" office.
#2 Go shopping for any of your work needs.
#3 Walk around.
#4 Sort snacks.
#5 Decorate.
#6 Walk around.
#7 Double check all of your work.
#8 Order things online from someone else's computer.
#9 Walk around.
#10 Chat with co-workers.

New Day Off
Yesterday was my first official Tuesday off and I've got to tell you, Tuesday's got nothing on Wednesday. I didn't realize how much I liked Wednesdays until now. It just fits perfectly in the middle of the week, feels right to stay in on Wednesday, Tuesday seemed weird.
Maybe I just have to get used to it.
I hope so because I don't want to keep feeling like this.
P.S. Tuesday, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, it's nothing personal, it's just the Wednesday and I had a thing going on. Thanks for understanding.

Lonely...Not so Lonely
Today, I had lunch alone in my office. It was actually quite nice. It's been a busy day so it worked out well. I had the Oriental Chicken Rollup from Applebee's. Delicious! Not to mention my large Pepsi on the side.Sometimes having lunch alone is a treat for me. No need for small talk, can do other things while I eat (like post), and can just enjoy my food with no one around to bug me. I kinda' like it!
They are Why I Do What I Do:
Sleep too much, sleep too little?
The past two nights I've gotten extremely sleepy at around 10pm and fallen asleep by 10:30pm. Then when I wake up at 7am I am so tired. All of yesterday I kept yawning and even took a drowsy 2 minute sleeper while visiting my cousins.
Why is it that when I sleep what I should be sleeping (medically speaking) I am so tired but when I sleep way too little...I'm fine?
All I want to do right now is crawl back in to bed.

Mi Familia
*Lillian
I love my family and just felt the impulse to write about them.
Here are some of my favorite family traits:
Mom- She knows how to love me just the way I need to be loved (sometimes with a hug, sometimes with a slap-not literally).
Dad- He has a funny way of showing he cares...but when he does he really does.
Sister- She knows me so well and just has a way of making me feel like she understands me-she's also one of the rare people that I can laugh with when absolutely no words are spoken.
Brother-in-law- He is honest, even when it's hard, you can count on him saying the truth.
Niece- She loves to be loved...and I love to love her.
Nephew J- His tiny little words just melt my heart.
Nephew D- Once he sees me he smiles, once I see him I love him even more.
I love my family and hope they feel the same way about me. They better.
OHHH Love to Love Ya' Baby
Maybe nobody else understands them but we do...so we chose to love them in spite of what anyone else might say or think.
I have those things...so here they are:
#1 Watching 2 episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" before I go to bed.
#2 Eating Cup Noodles with my fingers.
#3 Giving my self pedicures and manicures.
#4 Reading People and US Weekly.
#5 Watching reality TV.
#6 Staying in bed too long.
#7 Coming home after work to an empty house, with no one to bug me.
#8 Holding both the DVD and TV remotes, a bag of Hot Cheetos, drinking a Coke while watching a good movie all while on my comfy couch.
#9 Watching TV on DVD.
#10 Browsing through the $1 section at Target.
#11 Posting on my blog.
Just writing these out makes me long to experience them :)
What are yours?

The Flip Side
Last week was Valentine's Day (or Singles' Awareness Day). I posted 10 perks that made it good to be single. Today I am taking my single hat off and posting the top 10 perks about being a part of a couple. So here it goes:
#1 You can count on getting something good when a holiday or birthday rolls around.
#2 You have access to unlimited hugs and kisses (unless you date Bibi who needs her space :)).
#3 You get the "I miss you" long distance phone call when the other half of the couple is out of town.
#4 You don't have to do a date search for special ocassions or family functions.
#5 You have someone who is literally "on call" to have fun with you.
#6 When they "get" you.
#7 When they do the things they know you love.
#8 You can have a combo-name like: Chookie, GuBi, Jessger, etc.
#9 You get to have those inside jokes nobody else gets (note to the reader: just don't laugh at those jokes in front of other people, because then you just look dumb).
#10 You can count on that person to love you even when you aren't deserving of that love.
So loving someone isn't all that bad :)
I Finished Season 2 in the Middle of Season 3
I never thought a show could actually get better and better.
Only question is: What will I do with my nights now?
I'll take any suggestions.
P.S. Thank you Bibi...this couldn't have been possible without you. :)
URGENT: Weekly Prayer #6
I know that it seems to be a little too soon for my weekly prayer to be posted but this is an urgent prayer request. Yesterday I went to Target and saw this camera on sale. I must have it!No Posting?

Weekly Prayer #5
I'd love to go to the Melting Pot. They say the food there is delicious and I want to take a look (and taste) myself. Although it is expensive I know that you can make anything happen.
Thanks!

My VD
Last night I had a lovely dinner at one of your restaurants for VD with a couple of my best friends. I truly enjoyed the food and company. I just had a couple of thoughts to share with you regarding my dining experience.
- The woman across the room from us had an exaggerated hacking cough that seemed to last at least 30 minutes. You might consider offering complimentary surgical masks on the way in to the restaurant, I'm sure I caught something from that lady.
- The separators between booths are a bit too tall for my taste. I had to lean all the way over in my seat just to get a good look at the cute baby sitting at the next booth (Howard almost pushed me over).
- Your dinner portions are so heavy. After finishing my absolutely delicious chicken and mushrooms entree I felt full and hearty. Little did I know I'd be stuck in my bathroom for the better part of the night getting rid of about one quarter of my meal. BTW I was "sitting" the whole time...if you get the hint.
Thank you for the great food and customer service you offer. I hope to visit again soon!
Sincerely,
Jessica Torres

Happy S.A.D.!
I thought about it and being single has its' perks..here are a couple:
#1 You don't have to "check" with anyone before you make plans.
#2 You can go on a vacation and not have to make expensive long distance calls back home to let "someone" know that you are thinking of them.
#3 You don't have to feel guilty for having fun apart from that one person.
#4 You save tons of money on special occasions (birthdays, Valentine's day, Christmas, etc.)
#5 You spare yourself the trouble of figuring out who's family you will visit for the holidays.
#6 You have unlimited girls' nights out throughout the year.
#7 You can watch as much "Grey's" without anyone telling you what a waste of time it is.
#8 You don't have to shave your legs as often.
#9 You don't have to buy as much "nice" clothes because you don't need to go out on "nice" dates.
#10 You get to be a little more selfish than you get to when there's someone else to consider.
Gotta' say...being single is not that bad!
