To warn is defined as:
1. to make aware of possible harm; caution. 2. to advise; counsel. 3. to give notice in advance. 4. to notify (a person) to go or stay away. 5. to give warning.
All of these definitions tell me that a warning is given before the actual event occurs...right?
Last week someone told me that we would warn a person about the possible negative results of their actions after the actions took place. Am I crazy for thinking that these instructions are crazy?
Why do we wait for people to make a mistake before we instruct them?
